Results

Project Baseline Mikroplast

As part of the Project Baseline Mikroplast, we have collected water samples around the Norwegian coast in 2018. The dots on the map below represent the sampling points. Click on them to see how many particles of microplastics were found per liter of water (ppl). The dots are color coded following the light spectrum (violet-indigo-blue-green-yellow-orange-red). Violet is the cleanest (no plastic) and red is very polluted. 

Below, the map you can see the results in a table format. 

Handwashing a fleece hoodie in 5l of water produces ~125 microplastic particles.
